O: ‘Why do birds suddenly appear every time you’re near? Just like me, they want to be close to you.’
Me: ‘… is it because you also have food in your hands?’
O: ‘Haha I do have food in my hands.’
Me: ‘I thought birds are always fond of you.’
O: ‘That’s very true. Hahahaha.’
Side note: ‘bird’ in British slang means ‘girl’.
